March 1, 2010 – The Yellowknife Community Foundation is very proud of the many northerners who helped make the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games a great success. We are also pleased to have supported a number of these individuals through our grants and scholarship programs. These include:
Brendan Green - Canadian Olympic Team Member in the men's 4 x 7.5 km biathlon relay. Brendan was the 2006 recipient of the Mary Beth Miller Memorial Scholarship.
Tiffany Ayalik - Performer for the Northwest Territories cultural program at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Tiffany was the 2006 recipient of the Fine and Performing Arts Fund Scholarship.
Jill Gilday - NWT Youth Ambassador and volunteer for the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Jill was the 2008 and 2009 recipient of the Mary Beth Miller Memorial Scholarship.
Kira Hall - Performer and production assistant for the Northwest Territories cultural program at the 2010 Olympic Games. Kira was the the 2007 recipient of the Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship.
Leanne Goose - Performer for the Northwest Territories cultural program at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Leanne was the 2007 recipient of the Fine and Performing Arts Fund Scholarship.
