Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do It Already Arts Scholarship

June 2, 2009 - Dustin Milligan, TV and film actor originally from Yellowknife, was in town yesterday to present his Enough Talk, Hurry Up and Do it Already Arts Scholarship. The recipient this year was Bryce Walker, from Ecole Sir John Franklin High School. (See details below)
In a Mix 100 interview Milligan, who is known for his role as Ethan Ward on TV's 90210, says "he chose Walker after reading his application. Bryce Walker is an enthusiastic and dedicated performer who consumes himself in his passion for the arts. Whether Bryce is dancing, choreographing, singing, acting or playing the multiple instruments he has studied for years, his focus remains on what is best for the performance and what he can do personally or help others with to present the best possible experience for the audience."
Bryce’s theatre work in Yellowknife has included Ptarmigan Ptheatrics’ “Chicago” and many roles in Ecole Sir John Franklin High School productions from supporting characters in “Charlotte’s Web” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” to lead roles in “Footloose” and “Grease”. Bryce’s plans to attend the Vancouver Film School with sights set on a career in film.
Never shying away from a challenge, to quote Bryce, “I’ve given my all and tried to the best of my abilities to help make every show is the best it can be. I have been pushed over my limits time and time again, and because of that I am very grateful.”
The Yellowknife Community Foundation congratulates Bryce Walker on receiving the 2009 Enough Talk Hurry Up And Do It Already Arts Scholarship. Dustin Milligan established the Scholarship in 2007.
