The NWT Mining Heritage Centre Fund was established by the NWT Mining Heritage Society in 2008. The NWT Mining Heritage Society is developing a museum and tourist centre in the A-shaft headframe area of the old Giant Mine using some of the former Giant Mine buildings. The fund is used to support the on-going operation and maintenance of the Centre as well as improvements to the Centre and its displays. New donations to the Fund can be made by contacting the Yellowknife Community Foundation.
