Loraine Minish-Cooper Memorial Fund

The Loraine Minish-Cooper Memorial Fund was established to build and support the operation of the Garden of Hope in Yellowknife so that it can provide a place of peace and comfort, especially for those with breast cancer and their families. The Garden of Hope was officially opened in September 2003 on the grounds of City Hall in Yellowknife. Grants may also be available from the Fund for projects in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Prerequisites

Proposed projects must be in support of the fight against breast cancer.

Review

Projects seeking funding to support the fight against breast cancer will be reviewed according to the Yellowknife Community Foundation grants policy.

Applications

The application must include a summary of what the project will involve, a budget, contact information and a letter of reference from an organization recognized for its work in the fight against breast cancer or another source acceptable to the Yellowknife Community Foundation. Applicants are asked to use the Yellowknife Community Fund application form.
